TitleInclusive library for adolescence with dyslexia, ADHD, and/or autism - A study of the intersection between the digital and physical library environments

The thesis addresses the following objectives:

  • Investigating and understanding the needs of different youth groups that will be using the library, with a special focus on young people with ADHD, dyslexia, and/or autism.
  • Developing a concept for a more inclusive and accessible library to especially include the target groups and needs identified in the above objective.
  • Communicating and evaluating the concept through the development of prototypes.
  • Exploring the intersection between the digital and physical environments as a tool for increased inclusivity and accessibility in indoor environments.
  • Identifying which methods are useful and relevant to consider when applying universal design principles to develop more inclusive and accessible indoor environments.
