Education is carried out by lectures, lessons, exercises, lab work, field work etc. Participation in lab work is compulsory. Other compulsory education may be specified in the course plan. Acquired knowledge is examined by written exams, lab work, oral presentations, project work, reports and other compulsory hand-in assignments as well as master thesis work according to the regulations in the education and course plans. Education schedule and exam schedules are published on line. Lectures, lessons and similar activities start 15 minutes past the hour. Exams start on time, Assignments should be carried out individually, unless the teacher specifically allows/requires the students to carry out the work in groups. In the case of group work, the responsible teacher decides about group composition and changes of the groups. The work is to be carried out by the group members. It is permitted to discuss the assignments and the interpretation of these with outsiders on a general level, but not to receive help with the concrete solution. It is not permitted to copy somebody else’s, or another groups, solution in part or in whole. It is not allowed to copy from literature or Internet either. When citing other work, the source must be clearly given. Substantial help, by any person other than a teacher in the course, to carry out an assignment must be clearly accounted for in the report or in any other way. The same applies if another kind of aid has been used that the teacher cannot be expected to be aware of.
